Tried to see your blog about Sunday (angela sent us the link) but could only seethe pictures of the great sons -- got their ages wrong and wasn't sure about the young lady.... Responded as followsGreat to see that! Thanks, Angela!
That's the marvellous Kathleen. Her son, the calm and charmingly capable Rueben (sp?), in gray, aged nine/ten? was the co-head (along with Bernard) of washing up (and drying!) on Sunday. His dancing-eyed younger (?) brother, Alex, was the one who, later on, absconded from kitchen slavery, sat in the front row of the auction audience, bidding 18 euros on every lot, and finally securing the 5 pints of Guinness in the pub in Nogra for his Dad -- for €25!
A memorable and delightful pair. I did not get to speak to their sister (?) but Kathleen was the heart and soul of making sure the kitchen provided teas and coffees and smiles for all..
It added to all the lovely atmosphere and buzz of the day -- not forgetting the stylish bisque and barbecue of Fidelma's Michael and their Ruth and son.
